The mission of the Matthew Bee Memorial Fund is to help individuals and families in our community battling the disease of addiction and mental health issues by providing scholarships to addiction treatment, recovery support services, resources and sober housing.
Matthew Bee’s all too brief life ended at just 21 years of age. The gifted athlete, whose charm, infectious smile and endearing personality made him beloved by all who knew him, succumbed to the disease of addiction on September 16, 2017. Matthew’s memory lives on in the hearts and minds of individuals who have an opportunity for recovery from addiction and a new lease on life, thanks to the Matthew Bee Memorial Fund benefitting the Hansen Foundation Scholarships.
The Matthew Bee Memorial Fund additionally will donate 5% of all money raised to local non-profit organizations that share our commitment to bettering our community.
These local organizations share our philosophy of treating people with kindness, compassion, and dignity.
